Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and manage the stage schedule for each design change
- Prepare and lead cross-functional Kick-off Meetings so all departments understand their responsibilities
- Create and Manage the part list as the design/information changes for each program
- Gather and review cost estimation sheet from AMC’s to ensure accuracy
- Conduct variance analysis due to changes in design/process to benchmark for future activity
- Work with Engineering team to develop cost reduction ideas
- Complete the presentation materials that will be presented to the Executives
- Coordinate value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) activities with Sales and Engineering teams
- Create, maintain, resolve open issues list related to cost planning activities
- Provide supporting documents/analysis to Management in preparation for the Global Conference
- Work with AMC’s to confirm capital investment that is needed for certain parts
- Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts (Kaizen)
- This role requires the completion of other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites 2007 and newer is required
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
- Effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills are required
- Ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism in interacting with internal and external customers is required
- Effective attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills is required
